This was eventually remedied by re-installing Windows Live Essentials and also installing the 'Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 10' from here. I ordered a Nikon Coolpix l26 off ebay but when I tried tooking it up to computer to upload pictures it said didn't recognize the device. The cd rom didn,t come with camera so my question is, do I have to get a cd rom then install it befor I can upload pictures to my computer or does this camera have the ability to upload pictures with out a cd.
I got a Nikon Coolpix L26 digital camera. I tried charging it using the Micro USB Cable but it won't charge. The port is labelled AV out but it's the closest to a charger I could find. But it doesn't charge? Do I have to replace my batteries when ever I need to charge or what?

Oh! That kind of charge. AV is audio-video. Not for charging. Have you read the manual about this? Most cameras that come with a rechargeable battery come with a wall charger. You take the battery out and place it in the charger. If your camera did not come with a charger and it uses disposable batteries, all you have to do is to go out and buy alkaline or Energizer lithium batteries. Ordinary batteries won't do. Make sure you get the right size.
